ABOUT COMFORT CAFE
Hello and thank you for stopping by my blog. My name is Lisa and I’ll be here a few times a week. Here, at the Comfort Café, we sure love comfort food. What’s better than enjoying a dish made with love and sharing with people you love.
Baked goods, such as breads, cakes and cookies are some of my favorite things to make. I have a large variety of recipes for soups, egg dishes, salsas, dips and casseroles. There will be plenty of those to choose from.
My intention is to provide easy to read recipes with clear instructions. Even the most basic beginner cook or baker can master these in no time. I’ll share my recipes with you and I’ll share the final product of my test recipes with people in need.
FEATURES TO LOOK FORWARD TO
I also have a lot of feature ideas I’d like to share with you. From time to time, we’ll “Dismantle the Technical Speak” of recipes. I’ll attempt to explain terms as simple as sauté to the more uncommon sous vide.
Many of my friends are wonderful cooks, so we’ll have “Recipes With Friends“. I’ll have them guest blog so they can share their favorite recipes with us, too.
I’d like us all to step “Outside The Comfort Zone” occasionally and try things that we’ve never had before or experiment with unusual ingredients…maybe something you didn’t like as a kid and just never tried again as an adult. I have several things that I am willing to try, but I can absolutely assure you, one of those things will not be liver.
We’ll do a segment called “Your Nuts“, too. There are a lot of great recipes that include nuts and we’ll do some fun gift ideas around Christmas with candied and seasoned nuts.
I like a good “Challenge” as well, so I’ll try to duplicate favorite restaurant foods, experiment with recipes from other countries, and see how we measure up to some of those Pinterest vs. real life fails.
I hope you enjoy my creations as well as my family recipes and others I’ve discovered along the way. By the way, I should mention that Comfort Café is a fictional place, I’ve always dreamed of opening a little café and if I did, its name would be Comfort Café.
